F.R.I.E.N.D.S - 30 Years Along The Memory Lane And The Sitcom of the Century

Tired after a hard day of work? Too many assignments due on the weekend? Got no time for yourself? Well, the best way to take it off your mind at the end of the day is to relax and have a good laugh. My best recommendation? Watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S!

Be it the 90's, the early 2000's or 30 years since its premiere. F.R.I.E.N.D.S is still the talk of town. There is not a single soul who doesn't know or love the show. If you aren't part of this category, What are you waiting for? You've missed a lot already !! Everybody loves F.R.I.E.N.D.S!.

It aired from the year 1994 to 2004, With 10 seasons and 236 episodes. It is a story of 6 young adults who are roommates or neighbors working their way through life in New York City. It's a show where you can cry and laugh at the same time, find happiness in the smallest of things, build strong friendships and relationships, and grow through the different experiences life throws at you.

ROSS GELLER: A  smart guy who goes crazy for dinosaurs. He’s a paleontologist who

 WILL NOT let it slide if you say anything against those lively creatures. He may seem

shy at first, but is a joy to be around especially when he gets flustered, he's all funny and his voice goes high and squeaky. Although he’s got an annoying habit of correcting people's grammar, he's a typical older brother to Monica Geller and is all about Rachel Green—a guy who would do anything for love.

MONICA GELLER:  Growing up and having to compete with an older brother everyone

everyone adores, Monica always felt attention-

deprived with her family. She felt unwanted and unappreciated, making her want to prove herself and be the best in everything. She’s someone who likes staying in charge and is always well organized and coordinated, goal-oriented, and has the big picture in her mind, She dreams of meeting the love of her life, having the perfect wedding, and having kids because she loves them, and gets baby fever every time she sees them. She can be high maintenance and a little difficult to bear with sometimes, But she’s the best supportive older sister/mother-like friend anyone could ever ask for.

CHANDLER BING: He’s funny, goofy, sarcastic, and an immense boost of serotonin.

Chandler will be crying in a corner if you tell him, he isn't funny. He lives for jokes to the extent that he makes jokes when anxious. He's a cinnamon roll who's afraid of commitment and doesn't take long to break things off in a relationship. As time progresses He grows as a person, gains self-confidence, and works passionately to live his dream life.

JOEY TRIBBIANI:  An Italian-American pursuing acting. He’s flirty, kind, and loyal. Joey

isn’t Joey without his pickup line ‘HEYY! HOW YOU DOIN!?’.According to him, there isn't a woman who wouldn’t fall for that. He loves food, if he gives you a bite of his sandwich, you’re special. He has the intelligence of a 10-year-old. Yet he manages to surprise his friends with his Joey wisdom when they least expect it.

RACHEL GREEN: Born with a silver spoon, Rachel may seem like a spoiled brat but is kind at heart. She’s Monica's high school best friend and reunites with her years later while she turns over a new leaf and takes on the path of becoming a strong, independent woman.

PHOEBE BUFFAY:  It's as she says;

She's a one-of-a-kind human being, quite quirky, confident, cheerful, and weird in her own way. Being abandoned as a child and growing up on the Streets, Her life as a teen was tough and traumatic. Yet, she won and managed to get back on her feet becoming the free spirit that she is, how one perceives her does not stop her from doing what she wants, loves, and thinks is right to do.

STORY IN A NUTSHELL: Living in the same apartment complex, these 6 friends meet each other almost every day either at the coffee house 'CENTRAL PERK' around the corner or at Monica's Apartment. The story showcases their journey to ultimately find happiness while encountering the various experiences of life together like friendships, love, breakups, marriage, parenthood, pregnancy, jobs, family and so much more. While its core theme is a romantic comedy, it shows a realistic approach to life.

WHY SHOULD YOU WATCH IT?

There are just too many reasons to count. No matter how many times you watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S., It NEVER gets boring! What's more? Despite being relatable and hilarious as well as overwhelming, It gives us life lessons.

Don’t take anything for granted – Nothing lasts forever, no matter how much we love denying it. One of my favorite phrases from the show is ‘Boyfriends and Girlfriends may come and go, but This (referring to the friendship), is for life’

Romantic relationships may not last forever, but when it comes to friendships, especially those special ones, it's guaranteed to last long. Still, like all relationships, efforts are required from both sides to keep it alive. One must not be overconfident about having everything, because things can be lost in the blink of an eye.

Be Confident, Be yourself, and Don’t Let Anyone stand in your way - With every character being different from one another. Each of them has a story of their own. Watching them motivates you to be strong, independent, confident and to love yourself for who you are. Never let others' opinions and judgments stop you in your tracks or put you down.
